Innovation is the driving force. Chinook’s Triple Clamp Boom Head
and unique molding processes are criteria that make our
2007 booms stiffer, stronger, and more user-friendly than any other carbon
boom. Other features include external locking pin collars to eliminate twist,
a unique clew block for fixed or in-flight adjustable outhauls, and an extra
generous extension range. The Formula boom has a wide tailpiece and fairleads
for inflight outhaul systems. All bends have been modified to keep up with modern
sail design.

The best has gotten better. The stiffest aluminum boom we've ever made. Built with super strong 6070 marine alloy. All Triple clamp Alloy booms feature a 24”/61cm continuous blue anodized
aluminum tail-piece, fully-articulating "Triple Clamp" boom head, proven external
locking collar system, incremental adjustment size markings, and harness line
index graphics.
- Custom 1 1/8" alloy and wall thickness is as strong as 1 1/4".
- Will fit skinny or standard masts with no adapter.

The standard in aluminum booms. Available in super strong 6070 marine alloy,
reduced diameter (1 1/8") grip. All Competition
booms feature a 24”/61cm

Kids Boom

The influx of kids to windsurfing inspired us to produce a boom with
their requirements. Chinook’s special Kid’s Boom has a 1” ultra
small diameter grip, a range from 120cm to 150cm, and weighs less than
3.5 lbs. Fits standard diameter masts or smaller with a shim.

Carbon Formula
Boom Tailpiece
Large deep drafted sails and in-flight outhaul systems require deep drafted
booms. Chinook’s Formula model is 25cm wide at the tail with
80cm of adjustment. The construction is continuous tubular carbon fiber
for extra strength and stiffness. The attached outhaul block is ready to
accept in-flight outhaul systems. Comes standard with fairleads to keep
the ropes off the sail. Easy upgrade for your past model Chinook carbon boom.
